Want to join a project or just been invited – here’s how to get yourself set up on the AKOU app.

1. Setting up your account
However you join up, you’ll be asked to confirm if you know of the project you are trying to join. It’s important to only join a project if you know about it.
Once you’ve confirmed your link to the project you’ll be able to set up your account. You’ll need to give your name (first and last), email address and create a password.
If you were directly invited by someone who has valued you, it is important to use the same email address that you received the invite to. This is so that you can see what others have said about you.
Remember: at the moment you can only join the AKOU app if you’re linked to a project, team or organisation that are using the app to understand their impact. You can read more about the ways to join the AKOU app here.
2. Setting up your profile
After your account has been created you’ll be taken to your profile.
Add your answers to the simple questions and, if you like, customise your profile by adding a header image.
To add a profile picture, just click on the profile image and select a photo to use from your computer. This photo will be visible to other users when they start connecting to you.
If you want to change your picture or edit any of the information you can access your profile through your account menu (top right menu that will appear after clicking on your profile picture) .
